Samuel the Rogue: Barbarian's Bet
A guild job to lift three rings from the gnomes? Easy. Felix tagging along to watch? Annoying, but fine. Waking up in a barbarian tent as the chief's personal prize? Nobody warned me about that part. Samuel, 19, cocky, horny, and very bad at drinking contests, bet the wrong thing against the wrong man. Bjorn Skullcrusher is nearly eight feet of muscle, and by the law of the hold, I'm his now. His wife Helga likes her prizes hands-on. His daughter Sigrid and her girlfriend Brynhild want me as their war prize. The Tome is enjoying every minute of it. Felix is enjoying it more. Then somebody empties the chief's safe, the rings go missing, and Sigrid's blood starts to rise. The gnomes are at the gates, the clan is about to tear itself apart, and the only rogue in the hold is the one wearing nothing but borrowed trousers. If Felix and I get out of this with our asses intact, I'll call it a win.
